ILLUMINATED

When I began this series, I thought that I was just making a series of paintings, but after awhile, it felt like I was painting a book. As a longtime fan of graphic novels and illuminated manuscripts, I sought to combine the two in my own way. The following images compose the series "Illuminated" followed by the resulting book "The Elixir is Love."
