This painting was turned into a musical composition. In 2016, Boulder's Ars Nova Singers, selected Portals: Pollination as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary project. First they assembled a gallery visual art.19 poets then viewed the gallery and used the images as a basis for writing new poetry. Four Colorado composers were then commissioned to choose a poem to create a new musical choral composition to be performed in Boulder and Denver as part of their 30th season.
